Introducing OSCM
The Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) supports the United Nations Secretariat, UN agencies, funds and programmes, and troop and police contributing countries to fulfill their mandates by sourcing the goods and services they need, when they need them, where they need them, and at the best price. Agile delivery is at the heart of OSCM’s mission, and the division continuously strives to cultivate smarter operations that link business processes, tangible measurements, and best practices in one unified structure.

Products and Services
Benefitting from global systems contracts, OSCM’s services offer advanced solutions at competitive prices. Additionally, OSCM’s contracts can provide advanced acquisition strategies, where needed.
Services are fully supported by integrated planning, procurement, delivery, vendor engagement, member State engagement and enabling capabilities.

Provides standardized solutions for office, living spaces and specialty facilities (like medical and catering facilities, workshops, warehouses, and hangars and observation towers), incorporating gender, environmental, safety and security considerations. Also sources spare parts needed for ongoing maintenance, ensuring all facilities remain functional and safe throughout their lifespan.
Offers comprehensive aviation services, including fixed and rotary wing aircraft for local, regional and global passenger and cargo transport, specialized aero medical evacuation, search & rescue operations, standby and surge capacity, and global strategic transportation for military and police personnel.
Delivers innovative solutions – recognizing available technology that is appropriate to the end user - for UN field entities. The current focus is on renewable energy like solar power and backup generators. The UN remains committed to minimizing fossil fuel use and maximizing renewable energy.
Partners with UN entities worldwide, offering a full range of freight related services and materials, including air and sea transportation charters, cold chain logistics, courier services, and multimodal end-to-end freight solutions, satellite tracking, freight and reefer containers, packaging materials, weighing equipment, and movement specialist services.
Provides comprehensive petroleum, oil & lubricant (POL) sourcing solutions, developing guidelines for fuel facility operations and maintenance. Created the Electronic Fuel Management System for accurate accounting of POL use. Committed to reducing the UN’s environmental footprint, the unit promotes the use of ultra-low-sulfur diesel and monitors sustainable aviation fuel developments.
Ensures essential enablers like cutting-edge equipment, pharmaceuticals, blood supplies, consumables, as well as a range of health services including skilled personnel, are always in place. Supported by a responsive supply chain, the service helps to maintain precision operations to meet global health challenges, safeguarding the well-being of UN personnel in UN missions and entities worldwide.
Committed to ensuring colleagues all over the world have the necessary information and communications technology (ICT) tools to succeed in their respective mandates. Enables a better, safer, more sustainable future through innovative technology. Responsible for defining strategic direction and oversight of ICT programmes, systems, applications and decision-making.
Provides end-to-end rations supply chain solutions for UN peacekeeping missions, covering sourcing, quality control, logistics, warehousing, and risk management. The Electronic Rations Management System supports all operations—from order creation to delivery, invoicing, and performance tracking—ensuring peacekeepers receive three high-quality and nutritionally-balanced meals daily.
Provides comprehensive protection through staff security, safety, and electronic systems. Manages contracts for screening equipment, body armor, helmets, protective gear, medals, ammunition, and uniforms. Offers strategic oversight for contracts like smart ID access control, weapons, and UN/member States flags.
Sources all classes of UAS/RPAS tailored to mission needs. Enables monitoring, regulation and standards development to enhance operational effectiveness, situational awareness, and safety across diverse scenarios. Promotes partnerships with other UN entities and partners for the safe and effective use of UAS capabilities. Provides training solutions for UN staff on UAS/RPAS topics.
Strategically sources a wide range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring high standards of procurement, maintenance, fleet management and repairs. Committed to excellence, we drive innovation, enhance fleet efficiency, and reduce costs, meeting the UN's mobility needs with reliability, sustainability, and strategic foresight.
Delivers integrated water, wastewater, and solid waste management solutions for UN field entities. Services span the full water cycle—including sourcing, treatment, distribution, and reuse. Solid waste services cover the provision of environmentally sound solutions for the disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous waste, to support safe and sustainable field operations
End-to-End Uniformed Capabilities Support

Within OSCM, a dedicated team supports uniformed capabilities, enabling end-to-end force generation, deployment and reimbursement processes. The team serves as a single point of entry for support issues related to military and police contingents in the aspects of logistics, administration and finance, thereby improving the quality of the interaction between the United Nations and troop/police contributing countries.
Committed Aviation Safety Section

The OSCM’s aviation safety experts oversee all matters related to the United Nation’s aviation operations. They set standards, processes and procedures for aviation safety, monitor safety in operations, assess safety risks and conduct safety assurance activities. They also support sourcing and technical clearance of aviation service vendors, support staff official travel, provide technical oversight for United Nations aviation safety staff.

Business Seminar Held for Haitian Vendors

On 25 February 2026, OSCM hosted a well-attended business webinar aimed at strengthening engagement with vendors in Haiti and those operating in the country. The event was organized in support of the United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH), which is establishing its operational footprint in support of the Gang Suppression Force, thereby generating imminent procurement requirements.
COE Working Group Wraps Up with Key Reforms

The 2026 session of the United Nations Contingent‑Owned Equipment (COE) Working Group concluded on 30 January after two weeks of intensive deliberations, bringing forth a series of forward‑looking recommendations aimed at strengthening the safety, wellbeing, and operational effectiveness of uniformed personnel deployed to peacekeeping operations.
New Procurement Website Launched

The Office of Supply Chain Management has unveiled a newly redesigned procurement website at www.un.org/procurement, marking a significant step forward in making user navigation easier, and for vendors and Member States to have access to up to date business opportunities.
