ICT Basics of Radio Operations (9 Modules)

1. Introduction to Radio Frequency:
   This module covers basic principles and terminologies, various frequencies and equipment, operations and techniques in peacekeeping environments.
2. Radio Principles—Theory & Propagation:
   This module covers electromagnetic spectrum and radiations, and concept of radio waves and propagation.
3. Modulation and Single-Side Band Trans:
   This module covers modulation and its common forms.
4. Single Channel Radio (SCR):
   SCR is the principal communications support for the peacekeeping forces maneuver units. This module covers SCR communications equipment and frequency ranges.
5. Equipment Placement and Grounding Tech:
   This module covers techniques for optimum communications and camouflage.
6. Antennas:
   This module provides an introduction to High Frequency (HF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) antennas.
7. Noise and Interference:
   This module covers the varieties of noise and the types of radio frequency interference.
8. Radio Operations in Peacekeeping:
   This module covers the types of peacekeeping environments and the operations techniques for each.
9. Electronic Protection in Peacekeeping:
   This module focuses on three primary concepts: electronic attack, protection and support.

Unite Aware (UA)

1. UA#1 Foundation Course:
   This module covers basic principles and terminologies, various frequencies and equipment, operations and techniques in peacekeeping environments.
2. UA#2 Data Entry Beginner Course:
   This module introduces the UA Incidents application and the UA Patrol Plans application.
3. UA#3 Data Entry Advanced Course:
   This module builds on the concepts covered during the beginner course.
4. UA#4 Data Visualization Beginner Course:
   This module is an introduction to the UA Maps application. It explains how to navigate around a map using core functionality to visualize situational and operational data layers.
5. UA#5 Visualization Advanced Course:
   This module introduces advance functionality in UA Maps to prepare the user to perform certain metrics and to use analytical tools to analyze the data collected through Unite Aware.
