OSCM has unveiled a major update to the UN Procurement Mobile App, introducing a more intuitive, accessible, and feature-rich platform designed to strengthen engagement with vendors and partners worldwide.
Available for both Android and iOS devices, the updated app offers a significantly enhanced user experience through a modernised interface optimised for smartphones and tablets. At the core of the update is a commitment to improving accessibility and inclusivity. The app now supports all six official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish) ensuring that suppliers across the globe have access to procurement opportunities in the UN Secretariat in their preferred language.
The enhanced functionality provides real-time access to a wide range of procurement information, including requests for expressions of interest, requests for information, tender schedules, contract and purchase order awards, business seminars, and procurement bulletins. Users can also explore procurement statistics and analytics, access training materials, and stay informed through comprehensive search and information-sharing tools.
A key highlight of the new release is the introduction of mobile vendor registration, enabling suppliers to initiate their registration directly from their devices. Since registration is mandatory to participate in UN Secretariat business opportunities, this feature is expected to make it easier for vendors, especially those in remote locations, to register.
The app also introduces customisable push notifications, allowing users to tailor updates based on their specific interests. Notifications can be filtered by content type, country or territory, commodity category, and language preference, ensuring that users receive timely and relevant information that supports their business needs.
Beyond its immediate benefits, the updated app represents a major step in OSCM’s broader strategy to enhance digital engagement with the vendor community. By improving access to information and streamlining communication, the app strengthens transparency and promotes greater participation in UN Secretariat procurement activities.
Users are encouraged to download the updated app and transition from the previous version before 31 July 2026 to ensure uninterrupted access.
