OSCM, through its Enabling and Outreach Services, continues to strengthen its global supplier base through targeted outreach initiatives.

Recent engagements - spanning in-person, virtual, and trade fair formats- demonstrate OSCM’s commitment to increasing awareness of United Nations procurement opportunities and fostering a more diverse and inclusive vendor community.

At UN Headquarters in New York, on 18 May 2026, OSCM hosted a delegation of 15 vendors from Romania, most representing women-owned businesses. Organized in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of Romania to the United Nations, the session enabled direct dialogue between vendors and UN procurement professionals, offering practical insights into requirements, processes, and expectations.

Complementing this effort, OSCM co-hosted a virtual outreach event on 21 May in partnership with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP). The session attracted around 100 participants, including representatives of the Permanent Mission of Cyprus to the United Nations, with about 80 vendors in attendance. The presentation provided guidance on vendor registration and participation in UN tenders.

OSCM also participated in the International Trade Fair for Wastewater Technology (IFAT) in Germany in May, where, at the invitation of Germany, outreach took place through presentations, one-on-one meetings and site visits. This engagement highlights the importance of meeting vendors where they are and leveraging multiple channels to expand awareness and participation.

These activities underscore that effective outreach relies on strong collaboration across UN entities, Member States, and partners to broaden access to procurement opportunities and build a competitive, diverse global supplier base.
